About Us
Magdalena and Ashe, affectionately called TheAuthorCouple by their readers, are multi-award-winning authors based in California. Their debut, Lost in Beirut, captured hearts worldwide and earned honors from the IndieReader Discovery Awards, Readers’ Favorite, and the Chanticleer International Book Awards.
The latest novel, Fragments, was inspired by Magdalena’s experience discovering she’s autistic later in life. It’s a raw, intimate reflection on identity and self-discovery through the eyes of those we love.
Blending backgrounds in art history, fashion, theatre, medicine, and writing, and lived experiences as neurodivergent and BIPOC individuals, their work delivers stories that are bold, psychological, and urgently human.
Magdalena is a former fashion model who somehow ended up becoming a doctor, stumbling on the way upon a degree in art history. Ashe studied theatre and writing at CalArts. When asked how they write together, Ashe jokes, “He is her storyteller and she is his poet.”
They believe that books are art, not products—that the best art lives outside of trends, comps, or pressure to fit into a box. This belief is what led them to create aNOUNymous, an indie imprint for those who read with their heart.
